Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact partners gather at the 4th Annual Leadership Summit
Nationally recognized climate expert Dr. Heidi Cullen to address Summit participants
(MIAMI, December 3, 2012) – Hosted by Palm Beach County together with Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact partners, Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe counties, the 4th Annual Southeast Florida Regional Climate Leadership Summit will be held on December 6-7, 2012, at the Jupiter Beach Resort and Spa, 5 Florida AIA, Jupiter, FL. The Summit provides opportunities for governments, businesses, and community members to help lead the region into a sustainable future. The agenda includes national and regional speakers, panels involving key federal and regional agency partners, and a focus on the recently completed Southeast Florida Regional Climate Action Plan (RCAP).
Heidi Cullen, Ph.D., Chief Climatologist for Climate Central and author of The Weather of the Future, will be a keynote speaker. As the Weather Channel’s first on-air climate expert, Dr. Cullen will underscore the need to plan for change, to prepare to act in a timely manner and to keep communities informed.
