Miami-Dade County Extension Office to host free vegetable gardening class
(MIAMI, February 12, 2014) – The Miami-Dade Cooperative Extension in partnership with the University of Florida/IFAS is hosting a FREE vegetable gardening class on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Homestead Town Hall Museum located at 41 N. Krome Ave. in Homestead, Florida.
Participants will learn: how to grow vegetable gardens sustainable in South Florida; the basics of starting and caring for a garden; and, how to control pests using organic methods. Gardening is fun, good exercise and much easier than you would think!
This class will be taught by the University of Florida/Miami-Dade County Extension Horticulture Agent and The Miami Herald columnist, Ms. Adrian Hunsberger.
