Attention horse owners: Miami-Dade County Extension Office to host free lecture on Plants Poisonous to Horses


(MIAMI, February 21, 2014) – Miami-Dade Cooperative Extension in partnership with the University of Florida/IFAS and South Florida Trail Riders is hosting a free lecture on Plants Poisonous to Horses on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. at the Golden Corral Restaurant located at 33525 South Dixie Hwy, Florida City, Florida.

Horse owners, Horticulture Extension Agent Adrian Hunsberger, will present a lecture on the more common poisonous plants growing in South Florida that potentially could endanger horses.  Learn to identify poisonous plants growing in pastures and along riding trails for the safety of these animals.
