Extension to host free Gardening for Butterflies class


(MIAMI, March 5, 2014) – The Miami-Dade Cooperative Extension in partnership with the University of Florida/IFAS will host a FREE Gardening for Butterflies class on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 starting at 7:00 p.m., at the Miami Lakes Branch Library at 6699 Windmill Gate Road in Miami Lakes, Florida.

University of Florida/Miami-Dade County Extension volunteer Master Gardeners Mary Jackson and Lorna Bravo will teach class attendee’s what plants to grow in their butterfly garden.  Learn what plants are suitable for South Florida landscapes and how they protect butterflies.
