Extension to host free How to Plant Trees presentation

(MIAMI, April 10, 2014) – The Miami-Dade Cooperative Extension in partnership with the University of Florida/IFAS is hosting a free one-hour how to plant trees class on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Key Biscayne Council Chamber at 560 Crandon Boulevard in Key Biscayne, Florida.

In celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day, Urban Horticulture Extension Agent and Miami Herald columnist Adrian Hunsberger will teach you proper planting techniques. Planting correctly makes the difference whether a tree thrives or not and holds up in a storm. You’ll learn how to avoid commonly made mistakes.

No registration is necessary.
