UF/IFAS Miami-Dade County Extension to host Hurricane Preparation Workshop
(MIAMI, July 16, 2014)-- The Miami-Dade Cooperative Extension Service is offering the workshop “Be Ready, Be safe! Hurricane Preparation” for arborists, homeowners associations, and landscapers. This is a great opportunity to learn from the experts the best way to prune trees to prepare for a hurricane. We will also look at the outlook for the 2014 hurricane season, how to recognize hazardous trees, and much more. In the afternoon, the speakers will demonstrate chain saw safety, pruning and planting young trees.
