Miami-Dade County Cooperative Extension will host a workshop on Plant Pest ID & Management: Scales, Thrips and Whiteflies

Morning session: 8:30 a.m. - 12:10 p.m.
Afternoon session: 12:30 p.m. - 4:10 p.m.


(MIAMI, August 7, 2014) – The Miami-Dade County Cooperative Extension will host a workshop to update nursery growers, landscapers, horticultural consultants and interested individuals learn about identification of scales, thrips and whiteflies on ornamental plants in South Florida as well as, management options for sustainable control of these insects.

This informative workshop to be held, Friday, August 15, 2014 and will host a morning and afternoon session that runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. and from 12:30 pm to 4:10 pm. Both sessions will be held in Miami-Dade County’s Cooperative Extension Auditorium located in Homestead, Florida. Hands on samples, exercises, refreshments and Continuing Educational Units (CEUs) will be provided with registration.
