Miami-Dade County Consumer Protection to host free Small Claims Court Clinic on April 22

(MIAMI, April 17, 2015) – The Miami-Dade County Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources (RER), Office of Consumer Protection, will host a FREE Small Claims Court Clinic at noon, Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at the Surfside Community Center.  

The clinic will provide participants hands-on instructions and assistance in how to file a claim in the County’s Small Claims Court, including a Q&A session.

Small Claims Court is used by individuals who want to address disputes involving $5,000 or less without the costly burden of having to hire an attorney. The Small Claims Court Clinic will be led by RER’s Consumer Advocate, Ms. Holly Beth Billington.
