Miami-Dade County holds public meetings to launch Disparity Study

(MIAMI, February 21, 2013) – Miami-Dade County is pleased to announce the launch of its Disparity Study designed to determine whether minority and women-owned business enterprises have had equal access to contracting opportunities with the County.

The Disparity Study will determine how contracts are being awarded to ready, willing, and able market area businesses. Business owners will have the opportunity to describe their experiences working on or seeking work from the County.

To conduct the Disparity Study, Miami-Dade County has retained Mason Tillman Associates, Ltd., an Oakland, California based minority woman-owned public policy consulting firm. The firm has conducted 119 Disparity Studies across the nation since 1990.

For additional information and to RSVP contact Mason Tillman Associates, Ltd. by telephone at (305) 402-0107 or by email at [email protected].
