Miami-Dade County Cooperative Extension will host a Florida Friendly Butterfly Gardening


(MIAMI, August 9, 2013) – Miami-Dade County’s Cooperative Extension Florida Yards & Neighborhoods program is hosting a FREE Florida Friendly Butterfly Gardening Class on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the International Mall Library Branch located at 11315 NW 12 St., Miami, FL 33172.

Workshop participants will learn about the most beautiful Florida Friendly native plants that will thrive in your south Florida yard. Free Florida Friendly plants will be available for participants. Shower head and light bulb exchange will be available (Please bring your old shower head and light bulbs for exchange) this class is made possible with funding from Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department.

County Extension Agent Guillermo Salazar and Program Administrator for the Florida Yards & Neighborhoods Program in collaboration with Miami Dade County Master Gardener volunteers will teach the workshop.
