Fun and learning at Miami-Dade County Extension’s 4-H/FCS Open House!

(MIAMI, March 26, 2014) Over 450 people engaged in hands-on learning activities at Miami-Dade County Extension’s 4-H/FCS Open House at Amelia Earhart Park! Participants made their own healthy treats like trail mix and all-natural ice-cream, engaged in a wide variety of gardening activities, joined in physical challenges, came face to face with bugs and worms, – and left with goody bags stuffed with treats such as vegetables fresh from our county’s very own Redland farms! The phrase heard most often throughout the Farm Village? “This is awesome! When’s the next one?”
