Scholarships Available to Assist Low-Income College Students
Scholarships are available to assist college students from low-income communities in Miami-Dade County through the Community Action Agency Citizens Participation Program. The program awards up to $1500 to students from designated target areas who meet the requirements for assistance. These Scholarships have assisted students in your community achieve their educational dreams.

Need help paying your Utility Bills?.
The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) can help, by providing assistance up to $200 per household on your energy bill. Applications will be distributed beginning on May 27, 2008 at various Community Action Agency LIHEAP Distribution Centers in Miami-Dade County.

Community Action Agency Administrative Offices Have Moved
The Administrative Offices for Miami-Dade Community Action Agency have moved to the 9th and 10th floors of the Overtown Transit Village, located at 701 NW 1st Court, Miami, FL 33136. The main switchboard number has been changed to 786-469-4600.
Free Childcare Available
Miami Dade County Community Action Agency’s Head Start/Early Head Start Program is accepting applications for children ages three (3) and four (4) years old to participate in the 2008-2009 program year. To be eligible, children must be at least three years of age on or before September 1, 2008.
