(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- Community Action Agency (CAA) has help available for income eligible residents who need assistance paying their gas or electric bills. Applications for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) will be distributed beginning on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 (Monday thru Friday). The program offers a one time only home energy assistance to residents on a first come - first serve basis. In order to qualify for a $100.00 - $200.00 credit on utility bills, applicants must not exceed 150% of the U.S. Poverty Income Guidelines.
