Foster Grandparent Program

Miami-Dade's Foster Grandparent Program provides part-time volunteer opportunities for low-income persons ages 60 and older to render supportive services to at-risk and special needs children. Participants receive an hourly stipend, transportation allowance, daily hot meals, annual physicals, casework services and information referrals.

Children involved in the Foster Grandparent Program achieve improved physical, mental, emotional and social development through interaction with the elderly volunteers.

Additional information regarding this program and the qualifications for participation is available by calling 305-514-6000.
