    Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP)

The Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners approved the Substantial Amendment to the 2008 Action Plan on November 20, 2008.  The Miami-Dade County's Department of Housing and Community Development is posting the Plan as is required by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to fund the NSP.  The Plan was approved by US HUD on January 12, 2009 and the County awaits the execution of the grant agreement.

The Substantial Amendment to the 2008 Action Plan (Plan), which contains information on the County’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP), is now available.

Miami-Dade County has submitted its second quarterly report to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (US HUD) as required by the regulations governing the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP).  A copy of the first two reports are posted here for review (NSP Quarterly as of 06/30/2009 PDF  NSP Quarterly as of 09/30/2009 PDF).  Any questions regarding this report or NSP can be emailed to nspemail@miamidade.gov.

The Neighborhood Stabilization Program may be moving to a neighborhood near you.  If you are eligible to purchase a foreclosed home, the County may have the assistance you need.  Please review the eligibility requirements on the application for Homebuyer Assistance.  Purchases must be made in any of the priority areas throughout the County.  Check here to see if the unit you are interested in is eligible

Please contact Clarence Brown, Director of the Housing Assets Management Section, at 786-469-2100, if you should have any questions regarding the Plan.
