(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- The next meeting of Miami-Dade County’s Charter Review Task Force will be Thursday, January 17, 2008, at 10 a.m. at the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 N.W. 1ST St., on the 18th Floor Conference Rooms 18-3 and 18-4, Miami, Florida. The 21 member Task Force will continue its work of reviewing the County’s Charter in order to submit proposed amendments or revisions to the Board of County Commissioners.

At this meeting, the Task Force will discuss recommendations to date and the balance of power between the Mayor and Board of County Commissioners. It will also review the functions of the Mayor and County Manager as well as the powers of the Commission Auditor. Also on this meeting’s agenda is a review of legislative analysis and budget process.
