(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- Miami-Dade County’s Charter Review Task Force will meet to discuss the Home Rule Charter every two weeks. All the meetings will begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesdays until the last meeting on October 31, 2007. The location of the next three meetings is listed below. The Miami-Dade County Home Rule Charter was adopted in 1957 -- essentially becoming the "constitution" for Miami-Dade County. Section 9.08 of the Home Rule Charter requires that the Board review the Charter at least once every five-year period to determine whether or not there is a need for revision of the Charter.
