Alicia T. Menardy
Alicia Menardy is an attorney and an activist in her community. She received her Juris Doctor degree with honors from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2012 where she was also a Merit Scholar.
Her professional experience includes the City Attorney's Office in both the City of North Miami and the City of Miami where she honed her legal skills drafting municipal motions, briefs, ordinances and resolutions with a focus on land use and zoning matters.
Menardy was able to put her skills to practical use as the Litigation Administration for the Law Offices of Remer and Georges-Pierre where she worked on client and legal issues primarily in the area of employment law.
She is an active member of the Dade County Bar Association, the International Law Society, and the Haitian Lawyers Association. Her community affiliations include membership with the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of South Florida and the Sant La Haitian Neighborhood Center.
Menardy came to the Trust with a strong desire to serve the community by helping improve the countywide public transportation system, and she hopes to add to the connectivity of the transit system by decreasing wait time for transportation and in the volume of traffic through more strategic planning while preserving the environment.
