Commissions are advisory boards created by the Board of County Commissioners as an agency or instrumentality of the County. Commissions ("Board") may have broad, delegated decision-making authority on behalf of the Board.
Performance and Efficiency Commission (PEC) In the face of difficult economic challenges, the Board adopted Ordinance 10-43, creating and establishing the PEC upon recommendation by the Governmental Structure Task Force (GSTF).
Essentially, the GSTF recommended that the Board create a new body to continue the charge of the former Efficiency and Competition Commission (ECC).
The Board charged the PEC as recommended by the GSTF, to identify additional efficiencies and to gather and incorporate input from the public and private sectors on ways to reorganize, prioritize efforts, and leverage technologies for optimal productivity.
