Task Forces - Meetings & Minutes

A "Task Force" is a special committee created by the Mayor or the Board of County Commissioners as a temporary agency or instrumentality, to study a particular problem. The primary charge of this body is much like an ad-hoc committee, but more formal.

A Task Force may review a present situation; identify and evaluate problems; determine which problems are correctable or warrant correcting; and identify the best possible solution to each problem. The findings and recommendations of a task force are generally submitted to the BCC for action. 

The County Commission created the Charter Review, the Climate Change Advisory, the Elections Oversight, and the Healthcare Governance Task Forces. The Mayor created the Mental Health, Mortgage Fraud, and the School Readiness Task Forces.
