How will I get my refund? Check or a credit?
You will be receiving a check from the Miami-Dade County Water & Sewer Department (WASD).
How long will it take to get my rebate check?
It will take up to 60 days before you receive your rebate check, depending upon the volume of applications we receive.
Is the original receipt required?
Yes, we require the original receipt. If you submit a copy, your application will not be processed and will be returned.
Do you return the original receipt back?
No. Any document submitted becomes property of WASD.
If I am not a customer of Miami Dade Water & Sewer, do I still qualify?
Yes. This program is available to all residents of Miami-Dade County. Just remember to specify your water utility company on your application.
What do you mean by water utility company?
That is who you pay your water bill to. There are several water utility provides in Miami-Dade County besides Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department. See the list of utility providers.
If I use well water, do I qualify?
Yes. This program is available to all residents of Miami-Dade County. Just state "well water" to specify your water utility company on your application.
What do I do if my water is paid by my homeowner/condominium association, but I want to purchase the appliance and/or fixture?
The rebate check will be mailed to you. Place the name of the association on the Account Number space in the application.
How do I know you received my application?
You will receive a letter from WASD stating that we have received and processed your application for a rebate.
If I am denied, will I be informed?
WASD will send you a letter regarding your denial and return all the original documentation.
Can I fax my application?
No. Based on the project terms and conditions, the original receipt is required for processing.
What stores sell these water-efficient devices and fixtures?
Many retail stores sell these items, but you should call first to make sure the model you want is available. View the list of stores that carry High-Efficiency Toilets
