Is this program really free, or am I going to receive a charge on my water bill later on?
This program is being offered to you at NO COST to you. This is part of a service the Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department is doing in order to save water.
What color are the toilets?
Toilets ONLY come in white.
What if I am an older person and require a handicap toilet?
Toilets are available in regular height and ADA-height in both elongated (oval) and round shapes. Participants will state which toilet type they want on the applications.
How do I obtain the Senior Exemption on my property?
You must contact 3-1-1 to request an application from the Property Appraiser's Office.

You will receive a postcard stating that your application has been received.
How long until the toilets are installed?
Please estimate two months from receipt of your application for the installation to occur.
Who does the installation?
The installations are performed by our partners at the Community Action Agency (CAA). They will contact you to set up a day and time for your installation.
What happens if I am not home when they call for an appointment?
The CAA will continue to attempt to schedule an appointment. If they are unable to reach you after several attempts, they will send you a letter instructing you to contact their offices.
