Multi-family Water Conservation Incentive Programs

Miami-Dade County offers several ways for condominium associations and property owners of multi-family buildings to improve their buildings' water efficiency.

Rebates of up to $50 are available for the purchase and installation of each EPA WaterSense-certified High-Efficiency Toilet. A maximum of up to 25 rebates per property are available each fiscal year (October 1 - September 30). To qualify, the residential property must have been built prior to 1996.

Miami-Dade County condo and Homeowner Associations, commercial properties and multi-family property owners may also qualify for a free landscape irrigation evaluation and rebate. Properties with in-ground sprinkler systems can receive an on-site inspection of the irrigation systems, testing for sprinkler uniformity, training of landscape personnel in the principles of efficient irrigation, along with recommendations to improve the landscape and irrigation system's water use efficiency. Properties that implement the recommended retrofits qualify for up to $2,850 in rebates.

Multi-family properties built before 1996 can also participate in the Showerhead Exchange Program, which provides free high-efficiency showerheads to qualifying properties.
