The Inmate Services Division is comprised of four (4) Bureaus:
Rehabilitative Services; Chaplaincy Services; Pretrial Services;
and Community Corrections/House Arrest Program.
The Division oversee services that include: (1) Coordination of all
educational and vocational training through the Miami Dade County
School Board; (2) In conjunction with the local religious community,
provide religious services; (3) Through Pretrial Services via court
order, provide non-financial pretrial releases to those inmates that
meet established criteria; (4)Provides an alternative to incarceration
through the House Arrest.
The Inmate Services Division continues to work towards the successful
re-entry of the inmate back into the community. The Division seeks to
expand service delivery by bringing in programs that also addresses the
cognitive skills as an approach to effect critical thinking and changing
behavior. As we move in the expansion of services, greater efforts are
being made to establish partnerships with more input from community
based organizations.
