The Institutional Services Division includes Food Services Bureau and Property Management.

Food Services Bureau is responsible for providing quality food service to our inmate population and staff in a cost effective manner while remaining in full compliance with all Federal, State and County requirements regarding health, safety and security. The bureau is responsible for the kitchens at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and Pre-Trial Detention Center. The bureau is also responsible for two pantries located at Metro West Detention Center and the Training and Treatment Center. The bureau serves an average of 22,000 meals per day to inmates and staff.

Property Management Bureau is responsible for reception and storage of inmate property, while incarcerated, and money deposits to the inmates accounts. Additionally the bureau provides service and support to Department employees and inmates at the six County detention facilities, as well as two, 24,000 square foot warehouse facilities. The Bureau is responsible for an inventory valued at approximately $820,000. The property room intake activities are conducted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Other major Property Management Bureau activities include the storage and transfer of public records and management of the capital inventory that is approximately 5,296 capital property items.
