Special Services Division
The Special Services Division includes the Inmate Transportation Bureau, Court Services Bureau and Reception and Diagnostic Bureau.
- Inmate Transportation Bureau is responsible for providing transportation support services within the County and throughout the State of Florida to include federal governmental agencies to comply with court orders, appointments, warrants, death row, and special high risk security details, etc.
- Court Services Division is responsible for the safe custody and welfare of all inmates scheduled on the Circuit and County Court calendars. The Court Services Division coordinates and controls the inmate movement for court, completes the documentation of all court proceedings, and serves as a support system and court liaison.
- Intake and Release Bureau is responsible for managing inmate processing from initial booking, medical screening, classification, and record keeping through the release of the inmates that may include bond release, court ordered release, commitment to State Prison, etc.The bureau is also responsible for the classification of all inmates in the Department's custody in order to assure safe housing within the appropriate security classification type. The bureau consists of the Data Processing Unit, Identification Unit and the Central Intake Unit located at various jail facilities.
