Twenty-eight (28) of these licenses will be reserved for individuals or companies who currently hold for-hire limousine licenses.  The remaining fourteen (14) will be available to members of the public.  There is a limit of ten entries per applicant.  All applicants must meet the requirements of Section 31-602 of the Code of Miami-Dade County which, for example, requires limousine service operators to pass a criminal background check and prohibits persons who have been convicted of driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Information about the limousine lottery, including application forms, are available at the CSD offices at 140 West Flagler Street, Suite 904 in Downtown Miami, and at the Department's Vehicle Inspection Station, located at 2615 NW 10th Avenue.  The information can also be downloaded from the CSD website at www.miamidade.gov/csd under the "What's New" section.

Completed applications must be returned to the CSD's West Flagler Street office by the person making the application.  Applicants must present a photo ID and pay a non-refundable $170 processing fee plus $100 for each entry up to ten (10).  Applicants who were qualified to participate in either the 2006 limousine or taxicab lottery are only required to complete and submit the 2007 Luxury Sedan Limousine Application Reactivation Affidavit, and pay the $100.00 per entry fee.
