The Office of the Director administers the day-to-day operations of the department, including the consumer protection and passenger transportation regulatory divisions, licensing, and business regulation and enforcement.  In addition, the Office of the Director oversees the Miami-Dade Cooperative Extension office, which manages agricultural and development programs for both businesses and residents.
