This month, the Miami-Dade County Consumer Services Department Mediation Center was able to recover $107,735 for consumers in the form of monetary reimbursements, goods, and/or services. The recoveries included the following:

• $6,425 worth of parts and labor for a consumer involved in a manufacturer warranty dispute over repairs to a transmission.
• The replacement of a defective TV set valued at $2,600 without additional costs to the consumer.
• A $1,079 refund to an elderly consumer who felt he was overcharged for air duct cleaning services.
