    The 2009 Adopt-a-Tree Season

The Adopt-a-Tree Program is back and better than ever in 2009. This year, the program is going to continue to help the residents of Miami-Dade County to "plant for the future."
If you are a Miami-Dade single-family or duplex homeowner, you may be eligible to receive 2 FREE trees in 2009, even if you have adopted trees in past years.
Be sure to sign up below to receive e-mail updates on Adopt-a-Tree events and more!

    2009 registration form

Help us improve the tree adoption process by printing and filling out the 2009 registration form prior to attending one of this season's Adopt-a-Tree event. Also, it's helpful, but not necessary, to bring your property's folio number to the event. If you do not know your property's folio number, check your latest tax bill or follow these steps to retrieve it.

Also, please remember to bring a valid photo ID with your current address (i.e. Driver's License). If you are renting a home, please bring a letter from the property owner saying that it's OK for you to adopt the trees on his/her behalf, along with a photocopy of the property owner's ID.

A big "thank you" goes out to the Adopt-a-Tree partners and Miami-Dade residents

More than 19,000 trees were given away in 2008 to Miami-Dade residents. We would like to thank the DERM staff, community residents and volunteers, the County agencies and the private and non-profit organizations that have contributed to the success of the program during the past eight years.

We couldn't continue to enhance our local tree canopy without you! In fact, the Adopt-a-Tree program is one of the most successful tree canopy replacement programs in Florida. To date, more than 132,000 FREE trees have found a home in Miami-Dade County.
