2009 Bay Cleanup T-shirt Design

Community volunteers at the 2009 Biscayne Bay Cleanup will receive a commemorative T-shirt* made from 100% recycled materials! These T-shirts were made from "Ecospun" recycled plastic (polyester fiber) and reclaimed cotton.  This unique process used to produce our commemorative shirts is another way in which Baynanza helps to reduce and reuse.

This year's T-shirt design was hand painted by Kassandra Trujillo, a student from G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School.  Her design was selected from thousands of entries from students around the County who participated in the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden challenge.  We would like to congratulate Kassandra for her artistic rendition of the Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day and her parents and teachers for fostering her talent.

A special thanks goes to the staff at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden for organizing the 2009 Baynanza T-shirt design contest.
