    Business Cards

In conformance with  Miami-Dade County Branding Guidelines, employees MAY NOT produce their own business cards identifying themselves as County employees, or for use in official County business.  All employee business cards must be ordered through GSA or, for certain departments, through the County's approved contracted vendor.

Standardized Miami Dade County Business Card are available under Bid No. 7321-4/08-OTR.  Among the technical specifications that must be met by vendors are requirements for:

    • Recycled Classic Crest*, 80# Cover, Recycled Bright White acid free or approved equal.
    • Soy-based inks which have a lesser amount of "toxic constituents" to be used. (Oil-based inks are not acceptable).

    * This paper typically contains 60% recycled fiber including 30% post-consumer fiber.

    FAQ

    1. What are soy-based inks?
Soy ink contains varying amounts of soybean oil. The oil is extracted from the soybean, and food processing companies use most of it to make margarine, salad dressings, mayonnaise, cooking oils and as an ingredient in thousands of food products. Ink manufacturers blend this same food-grade soybean oil with pigments, resins and waxes to make ink.  Learn more from the National Soy Ink Information Center.
    2. What are some additional benefits of buying recycled-content paper?
