Why is the Industrial Pretreatment Facility Construction Permit necessary?
This permit is required by Section 24-35 of the County code to comply with the requirements of Federal and State of Florida Regulations.
What other permits are needed before I start workusing the Industrial Pretreatment Facility Construction Permit?
No other permit is required. However, depending on the type of facility there may be other permits required for construction and/or installation of a pretreatment system. You must contact DERM Plan Review at 786-315-2800 for additional information prior to construction.
How long does it take to process the Industrial Pretreatment Facility Construction Permit application?
Approximately one week.
How much are the Industrial Pretreatment Facility Construction Permit fees?
The construction permit fee for a new facility is based on the maximum per day industrial wastewater discharged. The plan review fee for minor modification to an existing industrial pretreatment facility is a flat fee. Please see DERM Fee Schedule.
How long is the Industrial Pretreatment Facility Construction Permit valid?
The permit is valid for three (3) months, or as requested by the facility.
