This program provides outreach and education to the residents of Miami-Dade to instill a sense of stewardship towards our natural resources, and motivate residents to work towards a sustainable community.
The program is part of the Environmental Education and Communication Office , and it coordinates special events such as Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day and the Adopt-a-Tree program.
The Environmental Education and Outreach Program is one of the few programs within the Department of Environmental Resources Management that works with industries and the public in a non-regulatory capacity.
