    Pretreatment Operating Permits Program (IWP)

This program regulates discharges to sanitary sewers from non-domestic sources and monitors requirements to protect the sewer and treatment system as required by federal and state regulations. The IWP Program specifically regulates Significant Industrial Users (SIU) of the sewer system on behalf of the Miami-Dade Water & Sewer Department, and in accordance with the Federal Pretreatment Regulations of the Clean Water Act.

For information regarding discharge limitations of regulated pollutants to Miami-Dade's sanitary sewer system, please click here. For additional information, please call the Water and Wastewater Treatment Section at 305-372-6524.
