You can search our database for Contractors that have been licensed for work on buildings in Miami-Dade County. In addition, searches can be made to find out if Complaints have been filed on Contractors working in Miami-Dade County.
This web application allows qualified contractors to submit applications for subsidiary and stand-alone permits for the electrical, mechanical, plumbing and gas trades, pay the fees and print their permit card from the Internet browser.
Contractors and tradesman working in Miami-Dade County are licensed by Permitting, Environment and Regulatory Affairs's Contractor Licensing Section. The Construction Trades Qualifying Board has authority over these types of licenses and scopes of licenses that are issued.
Examinations for certificates of competency and eligibility are offered once a month. The exams are open book and the required books for each exam category can be found on the licensing requirements for each license.
Continuing education is an obligation which pertains to professional contractors and tradesmen whether licensed by the State of Florida or Miami-Dade County. Continuing education is commonly viewed by local licensed construction professionals as one avenue for them to ensure that they can remain competitive by keeping up to date regarding issues that impact the dynamic and challenging construction industry.
