Liquid Waste Transporter Permit
The Liquid Waste Tranporter permit
regulates the transportation of various types of liquid and solid waste, including hazardous waste, waste oil and oily waste waters, septic and grease trap waste, biomedical waste, spent radiator fluid, photo chemical waste, dry sewage sludge, and other types of non-hazardous industrial waste.
The Liquid Waste Tranporter permitis needed to protect the environment and the public from improperly handled and transported waste.
How to Apply
This will depend on the type of waste being transported, whether the waste will be stored or treated in any way prior to disposal, etc. It is suggested that other municipal, county, State and Federal Agencies also be consulted to determine which additional permits must be obtained. Please call 305-372-6600 for permit information regarding your circumstance.
A properly completed application will be processed within five days.
Fees
There is a flat permit application fee and the monthly fees are based on the amount of waste transported. Please see the Fee Schedule

Expiration
Operating permits are generally issued for a period of one year with a standard cycle of April 1 through March 31.
