Employment and Training Program
Miami-Dade County's Department of Human Services Department (DHS) offers employment related services to newly arrived refugees geared towards obtaining meaningful job placement and achieving self-sufficiency. Services available include:
- case management
- vocational counseling
- job coaching
- summer youth employment
- family self-sufficiency plan assessment
- referral and arrangement for supportive services
- employability development plan
- employability skills and acculturation training
- job development
- job placement
- follow-up and job retention tracking

Refugee Youth and Family Services Program
A prevention and intervention program for newly arrived refugee youth and families. Services include: psychosocial assessment and treatment; individual, marital, family and group therapy; youth groups at targeterd schools; parenting groups; mentorship experiences; recreational and cultural activities; parent and student advocacy; case management; tutorial therapeutic after-school services; therapeutic summer camp, and referrals.
