The Miami-Dade Department of Human Services provides Voluntary Prekindergarten or VPK for children in order to prepare them for school by enhancing their pre-reading, pre-math, language and social skills. If you live in Florida and have a child who turns four (4) years of age by September 1, your child is eligible for Florida's FREE VPK program. Two programs are annually available; however, a child can only participate in one program.
