What types of cell phones can I donate to the program?
You may donate any type of digital cell phone, but the phone must be in good working condition. Simply complete our donation formAre tax receipts available for the phones donated to the program?
Yes, when a phone is donated to the program, the donor may complete a Dial-A-Life Donor’s Form to use as a tax receipt. The Dial-A-Life Program does not determine the value of your donated phone; you should contact your tax advisor to determine the value of your phone.
When donating my phone should I include my charger and accessories?
While not necessary, we encourage you to donate your accessories. We only have a limited amount of accessories in stock for various phones.
When I donate a phone to the Program, do I need to be concerned about being charged air time?
No, prior to donating your phone to the program, you should contact your wireless company to confirm the phone service has been disconnected.
When I donate a phone to the Program and I did not clear existing information from its memory, will this information be deleted from the phone?
Yes, when the phones are refurbished they are cleaned, the existing phone numbers erased from its memory and packaged for distribution.
Where can I drop off my phone?
Drop off your cell phone and accessories at one of 76 convenient locations throughout Miami-Dade County.
