County Commissioners to host town hall meeting on Charter reform


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 
Vice Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson and Commissioners Barbara J. Jordan and Jean Monestime are inviting Miami-Dade residents from their respective districts to attend a town hall meeting on the proposed Miami-Dade Home Rule Charter amendments. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the proposed changes to the Charter that will be on the May 24, 2011 ballot and any suggested Charter changes in the future. Representatives from other County departments will also be on hand to assist residents with answering any inquiries.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Miami-Dade College's North Campus at the Lehman Theater, 11380 NW 27 Avenue, starting at 6 p.m.
