Live music, entertainment, prizes and more abound at this year’s festivities!

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --
Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan invites families to join her for the 5th Annual Hispanic Heritage Festival on Saturday, October 29 at Acadia Park, NW 195 Drive and NW 52 Avenue, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. This free event will feature various activities and presentations that will highlight the positive influences of District 1's growing Hispanic community in Miami-Dade County.

"October is Hispanic Heritage Month and there's no better way to highlight the accomplishments of our Hispanic community than with an event that celebrates the culture and contributions," said Commissioner Jordan. "We had a blast at last year's festival, and I'm happy to say that people of all backgrounds came together to enjoy wonderful presentations, music, and more."

Attendees can expect live music, folkloric presentations, dance performances, art displays, and Kid Zone with baseball games, pony rides, bounce house, rock climbing wall, clown, and treats. In addition, there will be representatives helping residents with their job search. Raffles will be held throughout the afternoon. Refreshments will be available. Guests are encouraged to bring their folding chairs and blankets.

Several sponsors contributed to the organization of this event including HorsePower Electric, MCM, Pollo Tropical and Sedanos.
