Commissioner Jordan to Sponsor Movie Night: On-Going Series Attracts Families Looking For Quality Time

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --
Miami-Dade County Commissioner Barbara Jordan will continue her Movie Night series for residents in District 1. On Saturday, February 25, hundreds of people are expected to venture to Northwest Miami-Dade to enjoy another animated film.  The movie, which begins at 7 p.m., will be at Country Village Park, 6550 N.W. 188 Terrace, in Miami.

“Last month, families brought infants, toddlers and grade school kids,” said Commissioner Jordan. “Since this is a free event, we’d like to see the elderly and young adults join us as well. The movies that we show are suitable for the entire family.”

Attendees will enjoy free popcorn, hot dogs and refreshments, while supplies last. Everyone is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and other items that will create a comfortable setting during the movie.

Movie Night is funded by Commissioner Barbara Jordan, and is administered by the Miami-Dade County Parks Foundation. For more information, contact Commissioner Jordan’s Office at (305) 474-3011.
