(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- AvMed Health Plans invites golfers to participate in the 3rd Annual Greater Miami Service Corps' Golf Tournament and Awards Dinner on Friday, October 12, 2012, at the Country Club of Miami Golf Course, located at 6801 Miami Gardens Drive, Miami, Florida. The tournament will begin with a shotgun scramble promptly at 1:00 PM, presided over by Miami-Dade County Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan the founder and first Executive Director of the Greater Miami Service Corps (GMSC).
Participating golfers will display their skills on the green in support of a program that teaches life changing skills and work ethic to thousands of young people involved in Miami-Dade Community Action and Human Services Department's GMSC. All participants will achieve one of the most desirable outcomes; the satisfaction of knowing they are helping to improve the futures of potentially at-risk young adults and fostering the spirit of community service. The cost per person for the full tournament is only $80.00 and $40.00 for the Awards Dinner. Funds raised will help provide educational scholarships and programmatic services. The deadline is October 5, 2012. GMSC's Charitable Registration number is CH4813. Register online at http://www.golfccmiami.com/tournaments/gmsc_tournament.html
