Free Jazz Concert Set for May 3rd

Music in the Park Event to Feature Melton Mustafa Orchestra and The Elements

Miami-Dade, FL- The electric sounds of jazz music will permeate throughout District 1when the upcoming free Music in the Park event takes place on Friday, May 3, at 6:30 p.m., at Ives Estates Park, 20901 N.E. 16 Avenue, in Miami. Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan will welcome attendees to her signature event that is designed to promote culture and foster a sense of community. Featured performers at the upcoming concert include Melton Mustafa and his 17-piece Orchestra, The Elements and spoken word artist Rebecca “Butterfly” Vaughn.

“We have an incredible line-up for this event,” said Commissioner Jordan. “Jazz lovers will particularly enjoy this free, outdoor concert which is easily accessible by the public.”

Sponsors for the May 3rd Music in the Park jazz concert include the Sunshine Jazz Organization, Miami-Dade Parks Foundation, LiUNA, Burger King, Slip ‘N Slide Records, Calder Casino and Race Course, Mercedes Benz, Miami Marlins, Overnight Success, Inc., MAT Concessionaire LLC, and the Miami-Dade Cultural Affairs Council.
