Commissioner Jordan hosts annual Hispanic Heritage Festival

(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- Miami-Dade County Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan invites residents to attend the 2013 Hispanic Heritage Festival, scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 21, from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m., at Country Village Park, 6550 N.W. 188 Terrace, in Miami. This annual event celebrates the rich Hispanic influence in the northwest corridor of Miami-Dade County and will feature an array of FREE activities for the entire family, including live entertainment, face painting, bounce houses, rock climbing, pony rides, food, and more.
“We invite everyone to come out and enjoy the folkloric foods, crafts and music that come from the Hispanic culture," said Commissioner Jordan. "This festival celebrates all Hispanic countries. I encourage residents to invite neighbors, co-workers and friends to enjoy a family-friendly event that has become a great success in District 1."
