Free jazz and blues concert to feature George Tandy Jr.

(MIAMI GARDENS, FL) – Jazz artist George Tandy Jr. will tickle the ivory during Miami-Dade County Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan’s signature Music in the Park Jazz and Blues concert. The free event will showcase Tandy, who has been burning up the charts with his jazzy vocals. Also on the ticket will be Ike & Val Woods, local favorites who are a mainstay in the Miami music market. The concert, which is buzzing in the Jazz community, will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015, 6:30 to 9:00 p.m., at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex, 3000 NW 199th Street, Miami Gardens, Florida, 33056.   

Music in the Park is sponsored by the Miami-Dade Parks Foundation, City of Miami Gardens Councilwoman Lisa Davis, Miami-Dade County Cultural Affairs Department, Sunshine Jazz Organization, and the Office of Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan.
