Blues great and gospel songstress to bring star power to free concert

MIAMI GARDENS, FL – South Florida's original “Blues Man” Joey Gilmore and legendary jazz and gospel singer Maryel Epps will perform at Miami-Dade County Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan’s free Music in the Park Jazz and Blues concert on Friday, December 4 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex, 3000 NW 199th Street, Miami Gardens, FL 33056.   

Joey Gilmore has won acclaim for his soulful guitar and vocal performances, which channel the great blues legends of the ‘40’s and ‘50’s. Maryel Epps, who will also grace the stage, is one of South Florida's most popular jazz and gospel singers.

Music in the Park is sponsored by the Miami-Dade Parks Foundation, City of Miami Gardens Councilwoman Lillie Q. Odom, Miami-Dade County Cultural Affairs Department, Sunshine Jazz Organization, and the Office of Commissioner Barbara J. Jordan.
