Moderator and panelists announced for Chairman Gilbert’s second installment of Web 3.0 seminar series on June 1


MIAMI-DADE – The moderator and panelists have been announced for Chairman Oliver G. Gilbert, III’s second installment of the Web 3.0 seminar series on Thursday, June 1 at 6 p.m. at the Florida Memorial University, Lehman Auditorium, 15800 NW 42nd Ave., Miami Gardens, FL 33054.

The Miami-Dade Beacon Council’s President and CEO, Rodrick Miller, will be moderating the panel. Miller is one of the country’s top economic development leaders and is respected globally for his ability to maneuver in complex political and business environments.

Four individuals with various experiences and expertise will be participating in the panel. They are Myrlande “Lande” Simeon, South Florida Regional Director of Black Business Investment Fund (BBIF); Corion J. DeLaine, Interim Executive Director of Opa-Locka Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA); Clifford Charles, President of Blockchain at Florida International University (FIU); Melissa Henderson, Founder of Mel Writes and Product Strategist and Public Writer; and Brian Brackeen, General Partner at Lightship Capital.

This installment will focus on “Investing in Our Communities” and will continue the conversation on Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), Blockchain, and Cryptocurrency. It will explain how Web 3.0 can be used when it comes to business funding and investing and provide insight into how entrepreneurs can grow their businesses.
