Commissioner Jordan gives 700 children a free book back to help them prepare for Back-to-School
Miami, FL – Students filled Commissioner Jordan’s district office to take part in the commissioner’s 2013 Book bag giveaway. Commissioner Jordan distributed 700 backpacks to kids most in need from various non-profit and local organizations in District 1 on Wednesday, July, 31. Children from the organizations Teen Upward Bound, The Embrace Girls Foundation, and Grandparents raising Grand kids, were present in the commissioner’s district office to receive their free book bag.
Thanks to the generosity of Landmark Aviation, these kids will be ready for the new school year.
“The kids were so excited to receive a new book bag,” said Commissioner Jordan. “It is always a great feeling to see kids enthusiastic about starting a new school year.”
